2016 San Sebastian Festival Winners Include I Am Not Madame Bovary

The 64th San Sebastian Film Festival, which started from the 16th to the 24th of September, closed its celebrations by announcing its winners on Saturday night. The top prize, called the Golden Shell, was awarded to Feng Xiaogang’s drama “I am not Madame Bovary.” Its director, Fan Bingbing, took home the Best Picture award that night.

“I have a lot of experience and habits. These activities can hold you back. When I started this film, I tried to separate these habits and tried to act as if it were my first director. and do something brave. I know it’s very difficult,” Feng said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I don’t know if it’s the right thing to do, but today the San Sebastian Film Festival gave me the answer with this award for the best film.”
