Florence + The Machine have announced the headline Belfast Belsonic show

The red singer, who impressed as beautiful as pre-Raphaelite in his latest promotional images, and his team, released their fifth studio album, Dance Fever, in May of this year in great respect.

Florence Welch, 36, is the lead vocalist and songwriter of the indie rock band whose first studio album, Lungs (2009), yielded seminal hits such as Dog Days, Howl , Kiss with a Fist and Cosmic Love, filled with silence. -building-to-rapt-cresecendo riffs and lapidary poetic lyrics, introducing the singer as a whirling dervish of indie-pop, almost a newbie Patti Smith-style performer of soul, sensitive-but-strong who writes songs with a literary background. The mind, according to Welch, whose mother is a professor of literature, clearly knows Bronte from his Bryon.

Florence + The Machine have confirmed they will perform at Belfast’s Ormeau Park on June 28

The band’s second album, Ceremonials, was released in October 2011.

In the album, Florence’s “art of manipulation” is shown through the use of watercolor paintings.

It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and number six on the US Billboard 200.

On January 12, 2012, Florence + the Machine were nominated for two Brit Awards, with the ceremony taking place on February 21, 2012 at the O2 Arena, London.

On 26 April 2012, the band released Breath of Life, a song recorded as the official theme song for the film Snow White and the Huntsman and in July of the same year, a remix of Spectrum by Scottish musician and DJ-with- Calvin Harris was released as the fourth single from Ceremonials, becoming the number one artist in the UK.

He reunited with Harris on his single Sweet Nothing, which debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart and allowed Welch to record his second number two (the latter song, which was a lowly All records, however, did not receive a nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards).

In February 2015, Florence and the Machine announced their third album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, which was released on June 1, 2015. The album reached number one in many markets including the US, UK, Australia, and Canada. . The record spawned two UK top 40 singles, and earned him three Grammy nominations.

In September 2016, during an interview with Heat Radio, American singer Lady Gaga revealed that she and Florence had recorded a song together.

The song, titled “Hey Girl”, appeared on Gaga’s fifth studio album Joanne.

Footage of their studio session was featured in Gaga’s Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two.

In 2018, Welch released the self-titled Useless Magic, a collection of songs and lyrics he wrote, along with images.

Then in April 2021, Welch announced that he would provide music and lyrics to a musical adaptation of jazz age writer supremo F Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece, The Great Gatsby, with the producer Thomas Bartlett is co-writing the music and Martyna Majok is writing the book. and Rebecca Frecknall directing.

His fifth album Dance Fever was described by Flo as a “fairytale in 14 songs”, while his entire life to date seems to be a story of creating the most powerful art.

Produced by Welch, Jack Antonoff (a flame of Scarlett Johnson and Lena Dunham who created Girls) and Dave Bayley, Dance Fever is the album that brings back the best of Florence.

So expect uplifting vocals, whip-smart lyrics and riffs that will stick in your head long after listening.
